Overview The SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) qualification is a practical qualification which will give you the skills needed to support a swimming teacher. Successful completion of this qualification will allow learners to assist a qualified level 2 swimming teacher in delivering high quality inclusive swimming lessons. Venue Ashby School Swimming Pool Leicester Rd Ashby-de-la-Zouch LE65 1DH Dates Tuesday 27th August 2024 from 10am till 2pm - Online via Zoom Wednesday 28th August 2024 from 10am till 2pm - Online via Zoom Saturday 31st August 2024 from 8am till 6pm - In Person Sunday 1st September 2024 from 8am till 6pm - In Person Pre Requisites Learner must be 16 years of age or older on the first day of the course. Cost £350 per person Content You will learn about: The legal aspects of assisting in swimming lessons The responsibilities of a Swimming Assistant The learn to swim frameworks Scientific principles of swimming What makes up a lesson plan, equipment and communications skills How to identify anxiety and use of motivational techniques The type of assistance you can provide Identify your next career steps Progression Following completion of this qualification, you may wish to progress to the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification or the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification. You may also wish to take further qualifications within the swimming industry.

More than 14 days till the course begins We will issue you with a full refund, this may take up to 28 days to be processed. Within 14 - 7 days of the course starting We will offer you a 50% refund Within 7 days of the course starting We can not offer any refund at this late notice
