Who is the qualification for? If you want to work as a swimming teacher then this is the course for you, whether you want to teach group lessons or 121s, whether it’s children, teenagers or adults this course covers everything you need. Once completed you will be able to plan and deliver your own swimming lessons. Who is this course awarded by? This course is awarded by Swim England Qualifications and upon successful completion of the course you will receive a nationally recognised certificate of achievement. Whilst your certificate is issued by SEQ, the course itself is delivered by Three Whistles, we are an official training provider of Swim England Qualifications. Venue Ashby School Leicester Rd Ashby-de-la-Zouch LE65 1DH Dates This course is being delivered entirely in person at the venue. You must attend all sessions to complete the course. Saturday 7th March from 9am till 3pm in-person Sunday 8th March from 9am till 3pm in-person Saturday 14th March from 9am till 3pm in-person Sunday 15th March from 9am till 3pm in-person Saturday 21st March from 9am till 3pm in-person Sunday 22nd March from 9am till 3pm in-person Cost Early bird price - £675 per learner (If booked before 31st Jan 2026) Regular price - £750 per learner Content By the end of this course, you will be able to effectively plan, prepare, deliver and evaluate swimming lessons independently. It also gives you the skills and confidence to provide quality, inclusive and fun swimming lessons. Entry Requirements You must be 16 years of age or older on the first day of the course Hold a SEQ level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) certificate or Swim England/ASA equivalent Assessment Theoretical Questions Overviews Lesson plans Observation Self-Evaluation Professional Development Plan This qualification is not graded. You will either pass or refer. You will have 12 months to reach the required standard.
