Who is the short course for? This short course is aimed at anyone over the age of 14 years wanting to gain experience in a Learn to Swim programme to then progress on to completing the SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) or SEQ Level 2 in Teaching Swimming when they turn 16. Who is this course awarded by? This course is certificated by Swim England Qualifications and upon successful completion of the course you will receive a nationally recognised certificate of achievement. Whilst your certificate is issued by SEQ, the course itself is delivered by Three Whistles, we are an official training provider of Swim England Qualifications. Where is this short course? Liverpool Aquatics Centre Wavertree Sports Park, Wellington Rd, Liverpool L15 4LE When is this short course? This short course is being delivered in-person at the venue. Tuesday 17th March 2025 from 5pm till 9pm This course takes approximately 4 hours of learning followed by 12 hours of practical pool experience spread gradually to suit your own schedule. What is the cost? Regular price - £25 per learner You will learn about? Introduction to the strokes Introduction to the skills Introduction to the role of a swimming teacher By the end of this course, you will hopefully have the confidence to progress onto your level 1 or level 2 course at the age of 16+ years old. What are the entry requirements? You must be 14 years of age or older on the first day of the course How is this course assessed? You will have a workbook which contains a swimming lesson log to record your practical hours and questions to answer to support your learning. This qualification is not graded. You will either pass or fail. You will have 12 months to reach the required standard. What are the next steps? Once certified, your next step could be to become either a qualified Swimming Teacher or Babies and Toddlers Swimming Teacher.
